Families Helping Families of Greater New Orleans is excited to share our newly refreshed, colorful, and engaging “All About Me!” tool, designed for families and educators supporting students in Pre-K through 5th grade. This fun and interactive resource helps children express their unique strengths, needs, and preferences, making it easier for teachers and support staff to understand how to best support them in the classroom. Whether a child has a disability, special healthcare needs, or simply benefits from individualized support, “All About Me!” empowers families to share important information in a clear and child-friendly way, fostering stronger communication between home and school.

Keeping organized records is essential because it helps parents retain important information about their child, ensuring they have the full story when working with professionals. The Louisiana Parent Training and Information Center, a Families Helping Families of Greater New Orleans project, developed a Recordkeeping System to help families organize key documents like medical records, school reports, and IEPs/IFSPs. This system streamlines advocacy, simplifies meeting preparation, and ensures that necessary information is easily accessible, even in emergencies. By maintaining accurate and current records, parents can make informed decisions, track progress, and effectively collaborate with professionals to secure appropriate services for their child.
