Louisiana Relay can provide services at no charge, which helps individuals with speech disorders to use the telephone independently using specially trained Communication Assistants (CA) who are familiar with the speech patterns of a wide variety of individuals who have difficulty being understood.

Keeping Connected Through Hearing Loss: CapTel with Louisiana Relay - Captioned Telephone (CapTel) is a no-charge service which is useful for individuals who have some amount of hearing loss, making it difficult to understand what is being said over the phone. With CapTel, users speak directly to the other party and listen while reading captions of what’s said to them.

New Door to Medicaid Eligibility:  Act 421 or TEFRA Medicaid Program - A new "door" to Medicaid eligibility for children with disabilities is available now which does not depend on parental income for eligibility.  Learn who is qualified, what requirements are involved and how you can apply for your child.  This is not a Medicaid Waiver program, but another chance for families who do not otherwise qualify for Medicaid so their children have to access Medicaid services.
