Early Pick Up Day – Thursday, September 29, 2016 – 7:30 am till 7 pm. Friday, September 30, 2016 – 7:30 am till 4 pm. Pick up your race bib, food tickets and t-shirt (if ordered by guaranteed date) before race day at Families Helping Families of Jefferson office, 201 Evans Road, Bldg. 1, Suite 100, Harahan, LA 70123.
Race Day registration will begin at 7:00 am.
Race Day check in will begin at 7:00 am.
You can participate alone, with a school team, work team or community team. Get your friends together, dust off your capes and come out for some fun!
Awards for 5k:
- Overall Male and Female Best Time
- 1st and 2nd place in each age category
- 1st and 2nd place in wheel chair category
- Superhero against Bullying wristbands for everyone
Awards for 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk/Roll:
- Superhero against Bullying wristbands for everyone.
Awards for School Race Teams:
- Any school that has 50 paid registrations will receive a custom banner for their school to proudly display. The banner will declare their school is a Superhero against Bullying. Make sure team members add themselves to your team if they register on-line or if they register using the paper form. Click here to learn more.
- Individuals on your school team are also eligible for individual fundraising prizes.
Awards for Classrooms Wanting to Raise Money for Bullying Prevention but Doesn’t Want to Participate in the Race:
- Change for Change against Bullying – Classrooms can collect change for the month of October and the classroom that collects the highest dollar amount will win a Pizza Party. Click here to learn more.
Awards for Work Teams:
- Work teams include any type of organized business where employees and their friends and family races together as a team.
- All Work Teams will receive a Certificate of Participation.
- Individuals on your work team are also eligible for individual fundraising prizes.
- Work Teams that raise $5000 will be invited to a special party.
- Work Team that raises the most money will receive an engraved award to display at your office declaring you Superheroes against Bullying. Click here to learn more.
Awards for Community Teams:
- A community team can literally be any group friends, neighbors, relatives or a more organized group like a Girl Scout or Boy Scout Troop, Church, Civic Group, Mom’s groups, dad’s groups, booster clubs, on-line groups, etc.
- Individuals on your community team are also eligible for individual fundraising prizes.
- Community teams that raise $2500 will be invited to a special party.
- The Community Team that raises the most money will receive an engraved award declaring you Superheroes against Bullying. Click here to learn more.
Awards for Top Fundraisers:
- Individuals and Teams are encouraged to create a fundraising page for donations. This is easily done on the Firstgiving website for the race.
- There will be awards for the team that raises the most money.
- The Individual that raises the most money will win a Mayan Auction Package from Adventure Quest Laser Tag worth $259. It includes admission for 12 players, 3 Family Fun Attractions, Pizza, Unlimited Drink Refills, T-Shirt for Guest of Honor, Private Party Room, Party Plates, Cups, Napkins, and Utensils. Expires on 10/1/17. Great birthday party or get together with friends. Loved by kids and adults both!
- Individuals incentive prizes are:
- $50 – Gift Card to Experience (i.e. Laser tag, Sector 6, AMC Theater).
- $150 – Family Pizza Night
- $250 – 2 tickets to a Pelican Basketball Game
- $500 – Electronic Tablet
- $1000 – All of the above
- You can continue to raise money through October 31, 2016. All money not raised on Firstgiving MUST be turned in no later that November 10, 2016 in order to be eligible for prizes.

AFTER PARTY –
- Live Music provided by Mia Kylie Band.
- Free great local food for all participants with bibs, until it runs out.
- Free Craft Beer for all adults over 21 with a bib, until it runs out. (Must have an ID)
- Sponsors and other vendors will be there sharing information.
- Special guests and characters will be there.
- Additional surprises!
- Non racers can purchase food and drink tickets for only $1 per ticket.
