I Know Where to Turn When I Need Help for My Son with Autism

August Success StoryI couldn’t afford to pay for the cost of summer camp for the month of July for my 20 year old son with Autism and didn’t know where to turn. I am a single parent and at times it gets very hard financially, especially during the summer months when my son is out of school.

I called Families Helping Families of Jefferson to see if they had any resources to assist families with paying tuition for summer camp.

Families Helping Families immediately reached out to different agencies and was able to assist me with getting funding through the Autism Society of Greater New Orleans so my son could attend camp in July.

I am so grateful to Families Helping Families for always being there when I need them.  I am also very thankful to the Autism Society of New Orleans for assisting me in funding camp for my son.

My sincerest appreciation,

Sabrina Parker
