Louisiana Deafblind Project for Children and YouthLouisiana Deafblind Project for Children and Youth – Louisiana Deafblind Project for Children and Youth – The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs funds the Louisiana Deafblind Project for Children and Youth (LA DBP). This education technical assistance program is one of over 50 such programs across the nation. The LA DBP provides technical assistance to students with combined hearing and vision losses (birth – age 22 years) and to their families, teachers, schools, and school systems. Our presenter Dr. Michael Norman, is the Director of the LA DBP and will discuss deafblindness, associated disorders, incidence and identification, and services and supports provided to the children and youth with combined hearing and vision losses in Louisiana.
